Boru Hatları ile Petrol Taşıma AŞ (BOTAŞ) announced that there have been no changes in the tariff for natural gas used by residential and industrial subscribers, as well as gas for electricity production purposes as of July. According to the tariff table published on BOTAŞ’s website, the tariff for residential and industrial subscribers as well as the tariff for electricity production purposes will remain unchanged in July. Accordingly, the sales price that BOTAŞ will apply to distribution companies for residential consumers in July was announced as 4,080 Turkish Lira for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas. The tariff for industrial subscribers was set at 8,549 Turkish Lira for tier 1 and 11,374 Turkish Lira for tier 2 for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas. The price for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas in the electricity production tariff was announced as 12,000 Turkish Lira. The price tariffs for natural gas are calculated on a monthly basis. In the announcement posted on the institution’s website, it was stated that “When based on the Household Energy Price Index (HEPI), the lowest natural gas prices among European countries are applied in our country after Ukraine.”
The stability in the natural gas tariffs for both residential and industrial consumers, as well as electricity production purposes, plays a crucial role in providing predictability and financial planning opportunities for consumers.
